Human Resources Clerical Assistant – Part Time

Status: Open Until Filled

 

General Statement of Duties:

The Human Resources Clerical Assistant at the Puget Sound Kidney Centers (PSKC) performs Human Resources related support duties in accordance with HR best practices.

Qualifications:

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent. Associate/Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Experience

Previous office experience, utilization of Microsoft Office Suite required. Previous Human Resources clerical experience preferred.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Can read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Can effectively operate standard office equipment (e.g., computer, copier, fax machine, telephone, calculator, etc.).
  • Ability to respond effectively and appropriately to changing work situations or practices.
  • Can compose communication using the proper rules of grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Strong organizational skills and flexible to respond to changing priorities. Able to work within short timeframes.
  • Detail oriented and accurate.
  • Ability to complete tasks while maintaining absolute employee and patient confidentiality.
  • Able to prioritize, problem-solve, and multitask.
  • Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, and the public.
  • Able to travel to any PSKC facility as needed occasionally.

Essential Functions:

  • Set up new employee files. Maintain current and terminated files and file systems accurately.
  • Close and store all personnel files in accordance with department procedures.
  • Prepare, copy, send, and track employee documents as assigned.
  • Maintain tracking databases as assigned.
  • Prepare new hire and orientation packets. Assist with orientation class preparation.
  • Prepare interview and pre-employment documents.
  • Prepare and send template thank you letters to candidates not hired.
  • Prepare training space, equipment, supplies, and materials for PSKC in-service training as assigned.
  • Prepare materials for audits as assigned.
  • Maintain updated Job Posting Bulletin boards and assist with PSKC job posting website.
  • Order and maintain an adequate stock of office supplies for HR Department.
  • Other duties as assigned.
