A Legacy of Generosity: Linda Suby and Her Nephew Tim

For many years, Linda Suby has been a steadfast supporter of Puget Sound
Kidney Centers (PSKC), inspired by her deep personal connection to kidney
disease through her nephew, Tim. Tim was a PSKC patient until he received
a life-saving kidney transplant 21 years ago. Recently, he celebrated a joyous
milestone—becoming a first-time grandfather. Throughout his journey, Linda
has been by his side, offering unwavering support and encouragement.
Tim was deeply appreciative of the care and attention he received at PSKC.
He especially enjoyed attending the patient picnics, where he and his family
connected with the PSKC community. It was at one of these picnics that
Linda first learned about PSKC, witnessing firsthand the compassionate
care and strong sense of support the organization provides to patients
and their families. This experience left a lasting impact, inspiring Linda to
become a dedicated advocate and donor.

Linda’s generosity has already made a profound difference at PSKC. She
was instrumental in funding a much-needed generator at our Mountlake
Terrace dialysis center. As a nonprofit committed to high-quality, low-cost
care, PSKC has long recognized the importance of uninterrupted dialysis
treatments. Thanks to Linda’s leadership and philanthropy, patients will
continue to receive life-sustaining dialysis, even during power outages and
emergencies.

Building on this incredible impact, Linda recently made an even greater
commitment to PSKC. With a generous pledge of $100,000 for the
generator at Smokey Point and an additional $100,000 per year for the
next three years, she is helping fund the final four emergency generators
needed to ensure all PSKC centers can provide uninterrupted care during
power outages. Her extraordinary generosity will safeguard life-sustaining
treatment for countless patients, reducing health risks and preventing
unnecessary hospitalizations.

Beyond the generators, Linda’s philanthropy has touched many aspects
of PSKC, from funding educational programs to providing heated chairs
for patients. Her generosity is a testament to the power of giving and the
profound impact one person can have on an entire community.
Linda’s story is one of resilience, generosity, and a desire to create
lasting change. On behalf of everyone at PSKC, we extend our deepest
gratitude for her unwavering support. Thank you, Linda, for ensuring that
patients today and in the future receive the care they need—no matter the
circumstances.
