Low-Sodium Sourdough Bread

This sourdough bread recipe has a lot less sodium than store-bought sourdough — and it’s delicious!

What you need:
 2 cups sourdough starter
 2 cups warm water
 6 cups high protein flour
 1 tsp salt
 1 tbsp yeast
 1 tbsp olive oil
To make the bread:

Mix starter, water, yeast, salt and oil till smooth.

Add flour and form the dough. A mixer with a dough hook works great and takes about 2 to 5 minutes to get the right consistency.

Cover and let rise until dough doubles in size.

Punch down and form into two loafs, cover and let rise to the top of pans.

Cook in a 400 degree oven for about 28 minutes.

Remove and turn loafs onto a cooling grate.
